Accomplishments for the day

What have I done today?

Nothing.

My child doesn't want me to work.

Last night I watched one and a half episodes of "I'm Alan Partridge."

This blog sucks.

May First Fucking Already Jesus Fuck

Life is slipping by.  Christ.

Had an electrician come to the house and charge me $100 to hang a chandelier.  It was a $12 job and I knew it and I said nothing.  It proved that I was not just useless as man, but that I was also a sucker.  I just ordered two how-to books from Amazon.  A real man would have driven to Home Depot to buy them.  In a Jeep.

Culture from the last two days:

"God of Carnage" at Ahmanson Theater
"Blast of Silence"
"Waltz with Bashir"

I'm at the office working on a TV pitch.  It's a beautiful Sunday.  I presume my wife and child are enjoying the nice weather.  I'm nervous about my potential TV show about golf.

How much did I use "I" or "my" in this post?  A self centered screenwriter... I thought it not possible.  There I go again.  And again.

What I'm doing instead of writing...

1. Raising the 5 month old.
2. Obsessing about weight gain.
3. Coping with sleep deprivation.
4. Eating too much.
5. Being scared all the time.
6. Pining for alcohol.
7. Grinding my teeth.
8. Despising friends who stay out late.
9. Obsessing about death.
10. Eating all the time.
11. Obsessing about movies, plays, books, podcasts, New Yorkers, emails, phone calls, Rosetta Stone language lessons, musical instruments, or major life decisions that I haven't watched, read, listened to, returned, practiced, or contemplated.
12. Washing dishes.

But a moment about what I have done or am doing, inspired by Steven Soderbergh's list of things from Studio 360.  This is just to make me feel like I'm "researching" or something.  Something productive.

Book on tape of "The Good Rat" by Jimmy Breslin.
HBO's "Cinema Verite."
Episode One of "An American Family."

Fuck.  That's it.  Jesus.

She'll rip your lungs out, Jim.

Stay tuned for things pertaining to the life of the brain.

Spending some time getting up to speed, be back shortly.
